For now, I will try to get more involved with service (concern for others) and groups. After adjusting to a whole new lifestyle in college, I am now ready to take on a lot more than I was before. Keeping integrity in my core values is going to be a difficult task throughout my college experience. There will be trials that test the strength in my core values each and every day. I am looking forward to facing these challenges and daily struggles with determination. I consider myself a strong person and want my strength to transfer to my core values and leadership style.
What do I want to accomplish? (college)
As usual, I'm pretty uncertain when it comes to what exactly I want to do as a leader. The plan is especially foggy when looking at what I'm going to do while in college. What I am probably going to end up doing is planning what I am doing to be doing during my life. I make it sound like college isn't real life, but...yeah, it kind of isn't.
What do I want to accomplish? (life)
As of right now, I'm not sure what exactly I'd like to accomplish. I do know that I want to be successful in whatever I do. If I take a few wrong turns and end up working at McDonald's, I want to be the best McDonald's employee the world has ever known. This ties into my personal core value of accomplishment.
I know for sure that I want to be a leader who leads with integrity. Integrity is highly important to me because it's what represents someone as a person in general. If I lack in integrity, then why would anyone take what I have to say seriously?
I also know that I want to inspire others in the upcoming future. Because of my concern for others, I want to change the lives of others around me for the better. Helping others to accomplish their goals brings me satisfaction and helps me feel like I have actually accomplished something good for the world.
My concern for others is the reason why I have chosen to pursue a career in medicine. After working in the United States for a while (saving money), I want to work in a third-world country to give my service to those who need it most (but can't afford to pay for it). If I had an money weren't a scarcity, I would use it to bring health to communities across the world, at my own expense. Health is something that every creature of this Earth deserves to have.
Overall, as a leader, I want to inspire others, give time and money to others, and do all of that with integrity. I want to be a leader who does these things because I care, not because I think it will make me a "better" person.

Why Will?
Will Smith is pretty much as perfect as one can get. My goal in life is to be the "next" Will Smith. When I say that I want to be like Will, I'm not saying that I want to be a rapper and star in hugely popular movies. I am talking about core values. My personal core values are very similar to Will's and shine through in his life accomplishments.
Will was raised in a Baptist household and remains a Christian as an adult. My spirituality is an important and central part of my life. Will has been a charitable man; in 2007, he gave $1.3 to charities. This shows how high his concern for others is on his list of personal core values. I also value my concern for others. In years to come, I would like to invest more of my time and money in ways that can benefit others. Will Smith has taken the stance to support the legalization of gay marriage; this is a controversial topic, but I believe that people who take this stance have a high concern for others.
